High Risk Exam Nitrile Gloves

Anything can happen when responding to a call, which is why MICROFLEX Lifestar EC™ are the disposable EMS gloves that provide superior protection against bloodborne pathogens, chemical splashes and other hazardous substances. These dual layer, dual color exam gloves are specially designed for use while caring for patients, administering drugs, and performing other vital tasks. Approved by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 1999) for use by EMS workers, these gloves are an ideal hand protection choice for first responders and other healthcare professionals.  (Refer to the NFPA 1999 Standard on Protective Clothing and Ensembles for Emergency Medical Operations for more information on this criteria).
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has identified emergency responders and other healthcare workers as at-risk groups for exposure to fentanyl and its analogues.  (Read more on the fentanyl area of the NIOSH site).  In addition, the White House has released its own fentanyl safety recommendations for first responders.  That’s why Ansell commissioned a DEA compliant laboratory to simulate the real-world hazards of treating opioid overdose victims by testing MICROFLEX LifeStar EC™ EMS gloves against both fentanyl and gastric acid (vomit).  These fentanyl protection gloves were proven to resist both for greater than 240 minutes.
Featuring a dual-layer, dual-color design, NFPA certified MICROFLEX LifeStar EC™ EMS fentanyl protection gloves provide two comfortable, durable layers of protection.  Textured fingers ensure a secure grip of medical equipment, and non-stick, non-foaming properties prevent problems when handling liquids, bandages and medical tapes.
