This new replaceable blade adds a welcome feature to Slice’s updated Precision Cutter. Although Slice® finger-friendly® micro-ceramic blades last up to 11 times longer than comparable metal blades, eventually they do wear down. With the 10418, there’s no need to buy a new handle. Simply replace the old blade with a new 10418. Blade change is simple and requires no outside tools.

Made and tested in consultation with a master leatherworker, the Swivel Knife Blades are thick and durable, with a clean edge that moves through leather like butter. Because the blade is made from 100 percent zirconium oxide, it’s easy to clean and will never rust. To change the blade, simply loosen the screw on the handle shaft with the hex key (included with the 10502 Swivel Knife) and remove the blade to swap it out for a new one.

Then, press the tool down, flush, onto the cutting surface and pull to make the cut. Once the 10477 is no longer held against the cutting surface, its blade guard redeploys, keeping the user safe in the event of a slip. As with all Slice tools, the Super-Safe™ Carton Opener features a finger-friendly® blade that’s safe to the touch, cuts effectively, and lasts up to 11 times longer than comparable steel blades.
